Abrasive materials play important role in development of modern engineering, including electrocorundum, which finds wide application in treating articles of metals, wood, plastics, leather in aviation, automobile and many other sectors of industry.
This investigation is devoted to analysis of market of common electrocorundum and white electrocorundum in Russia and CIS countries for optimizing penetration into the market.
The report includes the following main Sections: technology of production, standing of production, foreign trade in electrocorundum, estimation of the market capacity and determining the main consumers.
This work is desk study. Ourinformation sources indluded data from Rosstat, Inter-State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of Russia, official domestic railage statistic of JSC RZhD (former Ministry of Railway Transport of Russia), official data of Statistical and Customs Services of Ukraine, sectoral (industrial) and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as data from web-sites of company-producers and consumers of electrocorundum. At final stage, the summarized and analyzed data was verified by the way of conducting telephone interviews with representatives of company-consumers of electrocorundum.
